Alisia ~ Maternity Session ~ Clark Lake

When Alisia contacted me to shoot her maternity portraits, I can't tell you how excited I was. I mean, here is a model-gorgeous woman who wants to play and be creative, and is game for just about anything! Then I met her and it turns out she is as beautiful on the inside as she is out! She's so natural in front of the camera, and I barely had to tell her what to do.

These are my favorite kind of sessions, I remember being giddy while we shot near the water, playing with the light and trusting that she was going to look amazing at any angle. As a lifestyle photographer, when I get to revert back to my fine-art background, I remember why I love to shoot this way.

We've since done 2 more in home sessions with her lovely family and it's such an honor to document their life and love.

Clark Lake is a beautiful park smack dab in the middle of the suburb of Kent, WA. It's kind of an oasis, tucked away from the traffic. There are long grasses, tall trees, open space, and a small lake. It's sort of an unofficial dog park but every time I've been there, I felt like I had the whole place to myself.
